Prince Of Darkness (1987)
John Carpenter, again and again I am in laughter with his music. More than anything sometimes his music carry’s a film into higher standards.
This is your typical zombie like end of the world situation, and thats pretty much it. And I was right! It was Alice Cooper as one of the zombies!! 31.01.10
The French Connection (1971)
What a chase! 31.01.10
The Bad Lieutenant (2009)
Werner Herzog is becoming one of my favourite directors and he has created a stage for Nicholas Cage to perform one of his strongest roles in years. Great odd film and made me laugh more than expected, extremely dark. 31.01.10
Wanted (2008)
Wanted to watch this for the great ‘What film is more entertaining’ debate. Wanted orDie Hard 4.0. My thoughts…up soon. 30.01.10
A Prophet (2009)
Wow! this film was powerful, intense and inspiring. One of those films that will stay with you for days. This was one of the best films I have seen this year. It’s great to see a film that is this powerful in the cinema, just wish Hollywood would make more films like this. 28.01.10
Happy-Go-Lucky (2008)
This is a real gem, great acting and a good story too. Sally Hawkins performance is just amazing one of the best of 2008. She carries the whole film on her shoulder’s and does this with ease.

A Cock and Bull Story (2006)
Steve Coogan always entertains me and in this he is on form. 23.01.10
Sherlock Holmes (2009)
Guy Ritchie should just direct and keep his writing to himself, he did a great job of bringing Holmes to the modern screen. 21.01.09
Christine (1983)
John Carpenter always has a place in my heart and he did not let me down with this gem. Based on a Stephen King book which you could really tell, it is the telling of a car that has a mind of its own…and kills people! whats not to like! 16.01.10
Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee (2009)
Shane Meadows short film about two people who want to be big but are small. Funny in parts but was expecting more from Meadows. 15.01.10
Daybreakers (2009)
Could have been really great but was not. 14.01.10
Whip It (2009)
Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, surprised me with this one, not that I thought it was great but holds up. 12.10.10
The Invention of Lying (2009)
Was hoping for some laughs…one laugh, very disappointing. 10.01.10
The Road (2009)
This was hard to watch but very rewarding. I felt guilty for having so much options in my life. 09.01.10
Coffin Rock (2009)
Heard this was good…it was not. 08.01.10
Narc (2002)
Watched this because it was in some magazine for one of the most intense opening scenes of the 00’s. And it is! 08.01.10
Lost Highway (1997)
David Lynch and his madness. Great soundtrack. 07.01.10
Avatar (2009)
OK, so I got to see what could be one of the biggest films of all time. Went to see this in the IMAX at the midnight showing. Have to say this first hour I was astounded at how amazing it looks. But after the first hour the story starts to creep into your mind and you realise how bad the dialogue is. Its just that we know that Cameron can write a great story with amazing visuals so was let down...
Fish Tank (2009)
One of my favourite films of 2009. Watched this in the Prince Charles Cinema and what a great cinema it is really cheap tickets and a great old atmosphare, yeah its on the most clean place but it has character and thats much more important to me.
This was a terrific watch for me, great performances great story, sad, funny, inspiring.

Carriers (2009)
Was surprised by this one, not to bad at all. 05.01.10
Four Christmases (2008)
Why did I watch this film? Good question. 05.01.10
The New World (2005)
Terrence Malick’s film about Native Americans and all that. 05.01.09
All About Eve (1050)
Finally I get to see this ‘Classic’. 03.01.10
Eyes Without A Face (1960)
Georges Franju’s film has inspired films like ‘Face Off’ and John Carpenters ‘Halloween’. Has some amazing suspenseful scenes and a full on face transplant that shows everything. Really found this film really dark, much more than I expected. 01.01.10
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
Hey, so my first film of 2010…is this! What a great start to the year. Made me feel young again. 01/01/10
